Hi All

I have spent the past hour looking through the archives and I can see lots
of people having similar problems to me but not actually identical, so here
I try instead.

I have:
Dual 1.4 P3 2 gig ram 40 gig RAID
running:
qmail 1.03, qmail-scanner 1.20, spamcontrol, spamd (2.60) and sophie (3.03)

Since upgrading spamassassin to 2.60 last week my server processes some mail
OK, but some mail causes (i guess) spamc to choke leaving the spamd process
it was using trashing about, eventually my spamd MAX PROC limit is reached
and mail basically stops flowing.

If I turn off bayes (bayes 0) in local.cf all works OK

If I delete everything /home/qscand/.spamassassin wise and relearn my corpus
of mail and turn bayes back on it will cause the problem.

I have a different box setup and working OK with the same setup, just a
basic PIII single CPU 512meg RAM but with a much lower mail load - does
enabling bayes cain a box more?

Any ideas how I can diagnose what is going on?

Thanks
Pete
