I was planning on just forwarding any suspect spam emails to an email account on my SA server and running it through sa-learn. I guess that this isn't the correct way to do it ???
No.. that is a *VERY* bad idea to do, because it will cause sa-learn to learn that forwarded messages are spam, and not learn much about the spam itself.
sa-learn *must* be trained on a more-or-less unadulterated copy of the message to be effective. This includes the headers because SA does tokenize headers as much as it tokenizes the body.
