Hello,

I have just upgraded one of our mailhubs from SA 2.44 (I think) up to
version 2.60. I tested this on my own (linux) PC beforehand to see what
was required, and had no problems.

The mailhub is a Sun Solaris 9 ultra 10 with perl 5.8.0. Generally no
problems with the new version except that I just cannot seem to get the
usual SA logging to occur which states how long it took to spam check
the message, etc. I have set the syslog.conf to 'mail.debug', and
restarted syslogd. I have also enabled remote logging for syslogd, which
I gather may have caused the problem. But still nothing. If I use
'logger' to send a message then it works fine, so the syslog.conf is
okay. We use spamc/spamd, and it is started with the options '-d -x -m 5
-s daemon'. Removing the '-s daemon' makes no difference.

Also noticed that we get the

unix passed to setlogsock, but path not available at
    /usr/local/bin/spamd line 280

message upon starting spamd. As far as I can gather from my searches
though this is a perl problem and should be nothing to worry about? Mail
received from the system shows that it has been spam checked (because it
has the X-Spam-Checker-Version header).

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks,

John.
