Shortly after upgrading to 2.60, I started getting these errors:

  spamd[29617]: lock: 29617 unlink of lock file \
  /u/fletcher/.spamassassin/bayes.lock failed: No such file or directory

And running db_verify, I find

  cs.utexas.edu$ /lusr/BerkeleyDB.4.1/bin/db_verify bayes_toks
  db_verify: Page 2538: hash page has bad prev_pgno
  db_verify: Page 2535: hash page has bad prev_pgno
  db_verify: Page 2539: hash page has bad prev_pgno
  db_verify: DB->verify: bayes_toks: DB_VERIFY_BAD: Database verification failed
  cs.utexas.edu$

I assume these aren't unrelated.  :)

If I backoff to a known good db, the problem recurs, usually with
24 hours. I run spamd on a Solaris 9 mail server which handles about
30,000 messages a day, so concurrency shouldn't be too bad. Also,
I sa-learn about 200 messages a day. The db is on an NFS partition,
read by three clients, written by only one client.

Has anybody else seen this?
How can I debug this?

Thanks
Fletcher
