I usually (around 80% of the time) also run linux on the desktop.
Unfortunately, I have to make it possible for the other users of my
mail server to use my mail server...

In addition,  until a whole lot of software vendors get the idea, it's
going to be a dual boot world.

On top of that, don't assume that linux can't catch something...  It's
happened before, it will happen again.
