Don't forget to vote with your wallet.

  * Move your domains from Network Solutions to any 
    other registrar.

  * Don't renew your SSL certs and find another 
    CA (if possible). Don't use Thawte - Verisign 
    owns them.

  * Sell your VRSN stock and get out of any funds 
    that invest in it.

As long as ICANN and the US.gov doesn't do anything to force them out of this, hitting 
their bottom line is the only thing that will. I'm quite sure that they knew that 
doing this would cause a huge backlash and a storm of protest. I'm equally sure that 
their anylists determined that the revenue generated would be worth any business lost 
and bad PR gained. Prove them wrong.

As someone on NANOG posted, I hope they've got the world's most secure server on that 
IP - it's going to be the prime target for all the worlds hackers. The only friends 
that VRSN has made with this move is the spammers.
