I was running 2.20 (Debian Package). I've since upgraded to 2.55 (source
download) and it has fixed my problem. However it created another one. SA
is working fine, however it throws about a dozen error messages very similar
to the one below in mail.log, each time it checks a message.

spamd[22835]: Failed to run BALANCE_FOR_LONG SpamAssassin test, skipping:
^I(Can't locate object method "
check_for_very_long_text" via package "Mail::SpamAssassin::PerMsgStatus"
(perhaps you forgot to load "Mail::SpamAssassin::PerM
sgStatus"?) at /usr/local/share/perl/5.6.1/Mail/SpamAssassin/PerMsgStatus.pm
line 2086, <GEN6> line 44. )
Sep 15 16:13:36 kant spamd[22835]: Bareword found where operator expected at
/usr/share/spamassassin/20_uri_tests.cf, rule DAI
LY_PL, line 8, near "25FREEMEGS_URL_uri_test"

I'm sure this is an essay fix, probably a configuration mistake I've made.
If anybody can point it out, would be most helpful. Thanks for everybody's
help so far.

Which version of SpamAssassin are you running?
