We have had some legitimate mail messages that scored higher than anticipated, and it appears that the following tests are the biggest contributors:
score BASE64_ENC_TEXT 2.354 1.643 1.544 1.768
score MIME_HTML_NO_CHARSET 0.638 0.759 0.365 0.0
Is base64-encoded text really such a telling sign of spam that it's worth up
to 2.354 points? Is the same true for no character set specified in an HTML
part of a MIME message? We are considering dropping these tests, but would
there be a significant decrease in detection rate as a result?
Well, @ least Base64 *IS* 98% SPAM over here, but not always.... MIME is around 75 percent. What about chaning the score a bit southbound?
