That error message usually signals a Qmail misconfiguration (or possibly an error in the DNS consulted by a Qmail installation). Especially if preceded by "Althoguh I'm a best-preference A or MX for that domain", it indicates that the DNS says email should go to that server, but Qmail hasn't been configured to accept mail destined for that domain.
If you're using Qmail, I'd double-check your DNS and Qmail configurations, just to be sure. Try either "nslookup -q=mx [yourdomain]" or "host -t mx [yourdomain]" to see what your DNS records are returning. Then make sure that Qmail on that host has your domain in its /var/qmail/control/rcpthosts and .../locals files.
