I'm not sure this will have much effect either, but at least it feels
like I'm slapping back. I've dwindled my daily catch to about 40,
which isn't bad when you consider I used to get 70 - 100 (yes, daily).
Now, SA helps by catching these messages, so that I am rarely
surprised when I'm expecting to find a message from a friend or
relative in my inbox and find some farm escapades advertisement
instead.

Those are not a widely advertised addresses, either. It's not like
I'm administering any list, website, or anything. I've just made the
unforgivable mistake of posting questions to various archived mailing
lists. I think one time I posted a question to a technical newsgroup
comp.unix.solaris, IIRC - which was apparently a global notification
that I was in the market for all manner of porn, penis pills, and
adult match sites.

I know at least one person felt set upon for receiving my original
message, and maybe I did get offtopic with it. I'm sorry for the
inconvenience if that's the case.
