Along with the ease of using SA on RedHat the linux distros will be shipped with iptables....a very nice firewall mechanism that gets configured when you do the install.....all free....  If you're going to run a firewall I'd suggest you repurpose an old pentium box you have and put your mail server behind it. And even then, it only filters mail which passes through it. If your new to the idea of linux, I suggest that you visit www.redhat.com and find out a little more before you make this jump
