Hmmm, I checked 2.55's rules/*.cf and didn't find 'bayes_auto_learn' enabled there. Now, oddly under 2.60 (cvs) the mail headers say that auto-learn=off. > What is the problem? > The problem is that I saw things like, X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-cvs (1.195-2003-06-30-exp) on screamerX-Spam-Level: *** X-Spam-Status: No, hits=3.0 required=5.0 tests=BAYES_99 autolearn=no +version=2.60-cvs showing up. The BAYES_99 flag would seem to indicate that the Bayes algorithm is yielding a score in the 0.99 to 1.00 range, but to the best of my knowledge, I have Bayes checking presently turned off. To summarize: 1) bayes_auto_learn 1 appears to be asserted in 10_misc.cf, but the headers say autolearn=no which seems to indicate that auto-learn is presently off. Now this might be quite normal behavior if Bayes is disabled as I think it is. 2) Even though Bayes is not enabled (to the best of my knowledge), I'm seeing BAYES_99 being asserted in the spam scoring. The scoring report shows the various BAYES levels being given different weights as expected. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now.
