Hello, I think I sort of understand why rules have 4 numbers. But I was hoping that someone could confirm this. From the SA website, I learn that there are 4 scores I can attribute to each rule: local, net, with bayes, with bayes+net
I figure that the later two correspond to the first two when Bayes is activated. What do "local" and "net" mean? One guess would be that "local" are emails from the local subnet. That is, I am in the Math department at UMD. So "local" could be all the emails matching [EMAIL PROTECTED] Is that correct? I would then figure that "net" is simply everything that is not "local". Is that right? So, if we take a sample rule: score MY_RULE 1 2 3 4 This means that if the rule is matched and: * The email comes from math.umd.edu and Bayes is off, the score is 1. * The email comes from outside and Bayes is off, the score 2. * The email comes from math.umd.edu and Bayes is on, the score is 3. * The email comes from outside and Bayes in on, the score is 4. Did I interpret this correctly? What happens if I only have one score? score MY_RULE 2 Does that mean that *all* emails (that match the rule) get that score? Could someone confirm or deny my interpretation of rules? Thanks a lot. -- Daniel Carrera | PGP: 6643 8C8B 3522 66CB D16C D779 2FDD 7DAC 9AF7 7A88 Math PhD.
