That's actually a good illustration of the benefits of AWL.

Over time, if you are using AWL, then it will subtract
points appropriately for email from non-spam sources and add
points to email from frequent spammers.

However, if you have signed up for a  mailing list that is
particularly prone to send email with lots of advertising
and other things likely to seem like spam, it's better to
simply add that to your regular whitelist.
