I am using virtual users with info stored in MySQL so it uses the email 
address (multiple addresses can be mapped to a single set of 
preferences).

it is for 1.15, but i have gotten it to work with 1.16 (it adds a couple 
things to 1.15 that were added to 1.16 so it complains the lines already 
exist).
