I now given SA 725 spam and 1433 ham to learn from (I have lots of spam now waiting to be fed, but I'm waiting to accumulate more ham). In any event, SA doesn't seem to be filtering spam at all. I only get about 1 or 2 spams a day, so it's hard to say anything certain, but not a single one of those (in the last 3 days) has been picked up by SA. Before I began tweaking .../user_prefs, SA was good at picking up spam, so I'm thinking that maybe I did something wrong. I'm attaching my user_prefs file (I know that it's usually bad form to send attachments, but I figure that a 3k attchments will be forgiven). I removed the whitelist* and blacklist* lines since those would have doubled the size of the file. I ran "spamassassin -D < sample_spam". Here are the highlights: SA> debug: bayes: score = 0.788951343703472 Does anyone know what the score means? Is that a 78.8% probability of being spam? Or is that score analogous to the other scores that are found in .../user_prefs ? SA> debug: Razor2 is not available SA> debug: Loading languages file... SA> debug: Language possibly: ja.iso-2022-jp That is correct. The spam was in Japanese. I don't know Japanese, hence I consider it SPAM.
