thanks for the reply. What I also observed was, when a user used to send an email using pine mailer, which has a group addressbook, and used to send email to all that goup(which has a large list of email addresses) by including it all to CC: the server load increases rapidly.
Could i have your opinion/reason about this?
Well, I really know very little about the tool you are using, but it sounds like it gets invoked as the delivery agent puts mail into a mailbox. This would mean that by this time the one message has already been copied into many messages for delivery to multiple mailboxes.
It sounds like SA is being called once per copy as a result, and if the number of copies is large, that's a lot of load if you don't have a mechanism to prevent there from being an infinite number of spamc's called.
