Hi everyone!

I'm new to the list and new to spamassassin. I'm very excited to start playing with it. We have several people that get over 100 spams a day and are begging for a workable solution.

I need some help getting spamassassin going on our webserver.

We have a dedicated server running RedHat 7.3 with multiple virtual domains (currently about 25, but adding more all the time). I have root access to the machine. I used the CPAN shell to install spamassassin and a number of other CPAN modules that the documentation said were required. All went well.

Next I copied the default "procmailrc.example" file to /etc/.procmailrc

Then I tried doing a test. No luck and no joy. Nothing added to the message headers on any incoming messages.

After chatting with people in #redhat and #spamassin it seems my problem is that I have virtual domains that (apparently) get 'chroot'ed for security. I also read on groups.google.com that procmail may not work for virtual users.

There's gotta be a way of doing this...is there? Or am I completely outa luck?

Thanks,
Chris Yuzik
