I treasure my ignorance of perl, but was silly enough to try to
install spamassassin 2.55. I run 'perl Makefile.PL' It complains
that it can't find 'pod2man' which is in /usr/bin, but I can live with
that. Then I try to run make and get a missing separator error on
line 72. ok, I'm game. I edit the makefile and take a wild guess at
what it wants to see. The next missing separator error is on line
92... and another on 102..

I tried downloading from CPAN and downloading the tar.gz file from
spamassassin.org - no difference. Just for grins, I downloaded the
2.60 build. Aside from the line numbers where the missing separator
errors show up being different, no change.

Who do I have to beat up to make this thing work?

Mike-

If you're not confused, you're not trying hard enough.
