It doesn't really differ from Redhat or anything else. It
depends on how you want to call SpamAssassin. Your options
are various milters like spamass-milter, MIMEDefang or
MailScanner, or procmail. All the milters come with
documentation and with MIMEDefang and MailFilter you have
examples that will get you going quickly.

With procmail (local delivery) you have users put spamc or
spamassassin in their procmailrc. You could also do global
spamassassin via procmail as a gateway, but that needs the
mail to go through sendmail twice - some milter is a better
solution for gateway'ing.

The main SpamAssasin site has links to guides.

With milters you probably want to ditch the sendmail bundled
with Solaris and install sendmail 8.12.9.

We use MIMEDefang (there seems to be some issues with
spamass-milter under Solaris, see the spamass-milter mailing
list) and run sendmail/MIMEDefang/SpamAssassin/anti-virus
gateways infront of internal mail servers.
