I asked this question earlier but didn't receive a response. In addition to the issue below I'm seeing spamd running with 10% of the system memory:
1152 nobody 25 0 19088 0 18M 2348 S 0.0 10.0 0:01 0 spamd I have timelog running and body tests are taking anywhere from 0 to 192 seconds. It's the 192 seconds that's killing me. I'd really appreciate some suggestions on this. --- I'm running RH9, perl v5.8.0, and Theo's latest rpms spamassassin-2.55-1 and the scans are killing my machine. I read about the LANG issue and set LANG=en_US in /etc/init.d/spamd (startup) It may be the bayes db --does this require pruning? spamd runs with: OPTIONS="--debug --daemonize --auto-whitelist --username=nobody --nouser-config --max-children=10 --allowed-ips= 192.168.1.10,127.0.0.1 -H/var/spool/spamassassin/razor" local.cf has the following: auto_learn 1 auto_whitelist_file_mode 0666 auto_whitelist_path /var/spool/spamassassin/auto-whitelist bayes_file_mode 0666 bayes_path /var/spool/spamassassin/bayes/bayes_file ok_languages all ok_locales all report_safe 1 required_hits 5.0 skip_rbl_checks 1 timelog_path /var/spool/spamassassin/timelog use_bayes 1 use_dcc 0 use_pyzor 0 use_razor2 0 use_terse_report 0 Cheers, -zeek Sparklehouse Media and Technologies http://sparklehouse.com ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: INetU Attention Web Developers & Consultants: Become An INetU Hosting Partner.
