2.55 will have this problem as well. It was the same code in 2.60 until someone reported the problem, and then I made the patch. So you can apply the patch against 2.5x, it should patch fine, theoretically. There is not going to be a 2.56 release, so if you don't want to patch it yourself, you'll have to wait for 2.60.
