pr0n spammers, freeloaders, snake oil peddlers etc.. I never met anyone who did business with a freeloader spammer more than a couple of times without getting ripped off one way or another. Spam has only existed for this long due to a constant feed of naive newbies queueing up to be ripped off. The rapid growth of the internet is the only thing keeping spam alive. Sooner or later there won't be any newbies left and spamming will only produce complaints and more filters. Once a spam victim has been ripped off, s/he can easily be 'turned' to a rabid bloodthirsty lart-wielding anti. Nobody likes being defrauded, nobody likes to lose, that's just human nature. Complaining is human nature too, a lot of people just love to complain about anything they dislike. Every spam run must cause a higher level of complaints than the one before it which is why spammers will lose and spam will pretty much die out. The more they send, the quicker they'll fall. The mainsleazers are having 'their territory' destroyed for them by the freeloaders 419'ers and pr0n pedallers, spam victims are learning that spam is everything they did not specifically request, and the bigger spammers are quite rightly being tarred with the same brush. Without the generic viagra and hot teens, we would have a far harder time stopping the big mainsleazers. Don't shoot the spam victims, even the ones who sent money to the spammers. They're still victims, albeit victims of their own stupidity. Have a good laugh at their expense, then show them there is a better way. Teach them how to read headers and report spammers, introduce them to spamassassin, give them the hard sell on the boulder pledge, guide them to nanae if they need to be really rabid :) -- Yorkshire Dave If I'm ranting, sorry, it's the medication -- Scanned by MailScanner at wot.no-ip.com ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: INetU Attention Web Developers & Consultants: Become An INetU Hosting Partner.
