I'm setting up a new box with qmail, qmail-scanner and spamassassin on a Red Hat box. Does anyone have recommendations about which OS version I should use?I just set up a new box using RH9 and QMAIL. Haven't figured out QMAIL Scanner yet, but I will. The rest works flawlessly, although with RH9 (as opposed to 8 or earlier), QMAIL *HAS* to be patched in order to run. That can be done by downloading the source RPMs and rebuilding, or by downloading the tarballs and the patches. *My* choice was the tarballs and patches - and then reading and following the "life with qmail" doc available at www.lifewithqmail.org . It's a simple doc, and I ended up having a clue (maybe a small one, but more than I got from RPM installation) about what I was doing and why.
