I've got spamd/spamc working fine on a RH9 Linux box with sendmail. I have it being called by procmail, and it works fine.
I need to have a new email server, so I built a new RH8 machine and installed qmail. That too, worked fine, so I redid the HD
with a RH9 install with qmail (and all the errno patches) - (all of the installations were/are with SA 2.54 BTW). The newest machine - running RH90 and qmail 1.03. My /home/$user/.procmail/rules.rc file is:
:0fw
| /usr/bin/spamc :0:
* ^X-Spam-Status: Yes
SPAM
-----------
That now works only if I change line2 to /usr/bin/spamassassin.
This isn't a terribly big system here, so I suppose I could get away with that, but I'd much prefer to use spamd/spamc.
Any help would be appreciated.
Steve
