I mentioned MIMEDefang because I knew some people are using it with good
effect and it works with sendmail. I know other people on the list are
using it but I really couldn't tell you anything about configuring it.

I don't actually use sendmail myself for all the standard reasons. I set
up Postfix + Amavis + SA just last night in a similar configuration to
Sendmail + MIMEDefang + SA and I'm still working on the configs (beware
the HOWTOs for Postfix + Amavis + SA because some critical configuration
lines are truncated.)
