Hi. I'm running RH Linux with Postfix 1.1.11 , amavisd and SA. SA does
not run as a daemon, it is called up by amavis as a perl module. There
are no local users on this server. All is working pretty good, however
I am having issues with some legit email getting spammed, I'd like to
 whitelist some users/domains.
I tried to add some entries to the
 /usr/share/spamassassin/60_whitelist.cf file
I've also tried adding the entry into the
/etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf file, but its not working with this either.
I'm sure the syntax is correct as there are alot of preexisting entries
in the 60_whitelist.cf file. Do i need to let spammassassin know that
these files have changed ? If so how ? If I am doing it all wrong,
please advise.
Is there a command which i can type in to tell SA to learn an email or
domain for whitelisting ?

That's a pretty old (though distro-modern) Postfix version - the current
patch level for release Postfix is 2.1.10.

What *Amavis* version are you using? Because that's the thing that's
lousing your rules up. Chances are that that's an old version too - grab
the newest release.
If I may ask, how exactly is amavis looking at the rulesets for sa ? I thought it simply passed it on to sa, sa would go and do its tagging and score according to its ruleset,  and then give it back to amavis for header mods with the new scores, no ?

I am in the process of upgrading the Postfix, will check version of amavis too. Did the old versions not work properly ?

Thanks for your help
