Are you *SURE* that the user_prefs that is read when mail comes in is the one you edited?
Double checked it...
Note that spamassassin runs the user_prefs for the user that executes it (usually root for milter type deployments) unless explicitly told otherwise.
I am using procmail to call SA for each individual user as we are a very small group.
I havn't been following this thread much, but......
Are you using the global /etc/procmailrc or user homedirectory .procmailrc files ?
If you're using the global procmailrc to call spamassassin, don't forget to use DROPPRIVS=yes, otherwise spamassassin gets run as root, and spamassassin will be only checking the prefs for the root user. (Or if you're using spamc you can use the -u option to specify the user)
