Sounds like an MTA thing, not really a SpamAssassin thing. I would
point you to your favorite MTA for more info.

No but it sounds like a great concept.

Lots of peple on the postfix mailing list have done this. I do somethign similiar, but for performance reasons I build a map file of valid users once a day from ldap & check that. But it's in postfix that the checks are done. It's much better denying email BEFORE it even gets sent to you rather than afterwards.
