Not aware of the -w option, I implemented the same feature as a script in my maildrop MDA. In the past few weeks, I've been conducting a small experiment where when spamasassin detects a spam, it sends a bogus "user unknown" message back to the sender. I'll post the numbers shortly of wether or not it reduced the amount of incoming spam.
