First, a very strong recommendation: Do not use SpamAssassin 2.41 or 2.40, PERIOD. The scores evolved in those versions are completely useless at best, and more correctly described as wildly inaccurate. If there was one thing I could do to make the world of SA a better place I'd have prevented those versions from ever escaping into the wild for people to use. A very significant portion of the complaints about SA miss-categorizing email is due to systems running 2.41.

Use 2.42 or newer, which had a re-run of the GA done and behaves significantly more sanely.

Best to get 2.43 which can be gotten in RPM form from:
http://www.kluge.net/ftp/pub/spamassassin/

Note that these RPMs do NOT work for versions of Linux other than Redhat 7.3 with perl 5.6.1. If you want to use SA on any other RPM based distribution, download the tarball and use that. In fact, I'd just avoid the RPM's altogether if I could. Doing pre-built RPMs for perl modules strikes me as fraught will danger at best.

As for your problem, do a locate SpamAsssassin.pm.. Where did it wind up that it can't be found in that path? It should be in /usr/lib/perl/5.6.x/Mail
