Demon use a mixture of exim (externally) and MMDF (internally).  It's
probably exim adding the headers since it gets the messages first.

However, exim 4 generates id's that look like:

    <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

And I don't think exim 3 was any different.  That doesn't match what the
original poster was seeing, so maybe it was added by another server in
the path to Demon?
