I'm having a pretty bad mail loop problem, which appears rooted in the .forward procmail spamc setup. It's an occasional problem, but when it happens it's bad. I don't know what kicks it off, but I have to manually intervene to break a mail loop in my server systems.
Here's a message I find in the failed messages: procmail: Program failure (70) of "/usr/bin/spamc" procmail: Rescue of unfiltered data succeeded 554 5.3.0 Internal error procmail: Program failure (70) of "/usr/bin/spamc" procmail: Rescue of unfiltered data succeeded 554 5.3.0 Internal error Reporting-MTA: dns; lonestar.alink.net Received-From-MTA: DNS; spoon.sv-server1.alink.net Arrival-Date: Sun, 29 Sep 2002 05:02:33 -0700 (PDT) Final-Recipient: RFC822; [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Actual-Recipient: X-Unix; |IFS=' ' && exec /bin/procmail -f- || exit 75 #user Action: failed Status: 5.5.0 Diagnostic-Code: X-Unix; 70 Last-Attempt-Date: Sun, 29 Sep 2002 05:02:36 -0700 (PDT) When this occurs, the chain simply feeds upon itself, until I get the notification and have to kill sendmail on the destination server, and clean the queues on queuing systems. Is there anything known about this problem? After I clean the queues and restart the spamd/sendmail system, everything is fine.. but I thought so the first time this happened, also. I'm running Spamassassin 2.50-cvs. First time the problem occurred I did temporarily switch back to 2.41, but it didn't seem to help. Sendmail is 8.12.5. Thanks for any help. ---Tomki ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Spamassassin-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/spamassassin-talk
