I'm having a pretty bad mail loop problem, which appears rooted in the
.forward procmail spamc setup. It's an occasional problem, but when it
happens it's bad. I don't know what kicks it off, but I have to manually
intervene to break a mail loop in my server systems.

Here's a message I find in the failed messages:

procmail: Program failure (70) of "/usr/bin/spamc"
procmail: Rescue of unfiltered data succeeded
554 5.3.0 Internal error

When this occurs, the chain simply feeds upon itself, until I get the
notification and have to kill sendmail on the destination server, and clean
the queues on queuing systems.
Is there anything known about this problem? After I clean the queues and
restart the spamd/sendmail system, everything is fine.. but I thought so
the first time this happened, also.
I'm running Spamassassin 2.50-cvs. First time the problem occurred I did
temporarily switch back to 2.41, but it didn't seem to help.
Sendmail is 8.12.5.

Thanks for any help.
