Then it's still spam.

Then it's not spam, assuming you wanted the forward setup to point to you.
If the forward was setup to point at you, and you didn't want it, then
it's spam.

I don't consider that spam per se -- If it comes from someone I know,
it's a person who needs to be taught that chain letters are bad.  If it
comes from someone I don't know, it's spam.

I relate email to postal mail, then extract a definition of spam: If
I receive mail which I didn't request, whether it be commercial or not,
that isn't a personal communication or regarding my community (information
about elections, town ordinances, etc), it's junk mail.

Therefore, I define spam as "electronic junk mail", and there you go.
