Personally I have this in my .procmailrc:

[process all mailing lists]

| safecat $MAILDIR/tmp $MAILDIR/new

| safecat $MAILDIR/.spam/tmp $MAILDIR/.spam/new

This way anything not sent directly to me is also put into the spam folder.
