Mr Hughes,

I respected your privacy when you sent your email to my
personal address, rather than the one I provided for public
comments on the issue.

You'll note that no part of your comments were quoted in the
revised version of my article, and your email address (and in
fact, your name) was left out. I merely corrected the errors
which you were kind enough to point out to me, and adjusted my
comments to reflect the collaborative nature of the project.

Now I get two emails from people other than you in response to
my private emails to you. May I ask if this is considered
appropriate in your group?

Why this was forwarded to your discussion list?

Had you asked, I'd have been happy to give my permission, but
you didn't ask.

Did you include in your FWD: the part in which I mentioned
that I believe that tools like Spam Assassin contribute to the
network load that spam creates, and my reasoning for it?

If not, I'd ask that you do so, to correct any errors of
interpretation your actions may have caused.
