Okey doke.  I changed the switches, as you mentioned, and I still got
the same error.  What's curious is that it isn't having any problems
creating auto-whitelist.db or auto-whitelist.lock.  They look like this,
permission-wise.

-rw-------    1 spamc    root            0 Apr  3 13:14
/home/spamc/.spamassassin/auto-whitelist.db
-rw-r--r--    1 spamc    root           17 Apr  3 13:14
/home/spamc/.spamassassin/auto-whitelist.lock
