I agree with this, however, how easy/hard will it be to change the message body processing to use MIME::Tools? The reason I ask is that I suspect that the base64 decoding breakage is possibly partly responsible for the high score from the GA for BASE64_ENC_TEXT, since none of the other spam signs trip on a lot of them. So, unless you think the MIME::Tools integration could be done before the next release, I'd like to suggest my patch as a short-term solution, it at least fixes the current method. (That is, unless you see something wrong with the patch.)
