I've almost got SA running, but I've hit a final stumbling block: how do I
make it work (preferably as a daemon) with a sendmail/fetchmail/pine
combination? I'm a newbie at this kind of thing, so I don't quite
understand how the pieces fit together. (I've looked through the mailing
list archive and read the readmes, but I can't quite get the hang of it.)

I've got spamassassin running so that if I try "spamassassin <
spam-message" it marks the message as spam and puts it in my pine inbox.

I've also got spamd running. At least boot.log reports that spamd
startup succeeded, so I assume it's running.

I haven't yet got SA to process real incoming mail. I think I need to run
spamc somewhere, but I'm not sure how/where to call it. (Ideally I'd like
to append all suspected spam to ~/mail/junk, if that's possible, so I can
check it occasionally.)

Can anyone suggest how to get spamc running with sendmail/fetchmail/pine?

Thanks in advance for your advice,

Ian
