Indeed it should. Try hitting your-server:8080 with a web browser. If TC is running, you should see something there with the tomcat log and all that. If that works, try your-server:8080/sourcejammer and see if you see a nice page with the SourceJammer logo. This will tell us how far along we are, anyway.
If you're using startup.sh, you should probably get some kind of log output on the console. This might provide some clues. You should get some startup messages from SJ. If you don't see the log on the console, try tail-ing the stdout log in the TC logs directory. I think that's the right one.
