Take a look to your file sourcejammer.properties on your sourcejammer client

distributios, and change "JRE version" propertie to 1.5. Then sourcejammer.exe

will work correctly.

Good luck ...

Ok – an update. Now I have reinstalled Java numerous times (now on JRE 1.5) and the tree browser works OK. The chooser works OK also, but it takes about 90 seconds to display and every navigation also takes about 90 seconds.

I also noticed I cannot run the sourcejammer.exe – it simply does nothing. I can only start the program using the sj_gui.bat.

Any suggestions on solving both of these issues (slow file dialog and the .exe not working) would be most helpful.

Subject: File dialog won't display

I’m having trouble getting file dialogs to display in the client under windows. I have tried the 1.4 JRE and 1.5 JRE and get the same results – essentially if I try to do set default or get file (and pick a different location) the client hangs and I have to shut it down.

This problem is occurring on a new PC, but I had it on an older machine as well. I read the threads and it mentioned issues with the file dialog but the only suggested fix was to try the 1.3 JRE – but that gets a null pointer exception when I try and start the gui. I also tried changing the file chooser type back to tree and got the same results.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
