The thing that worries me is the likelihood of bad passwords being set. We don't necessarily know what the software is on the device, and people are likely to reuse passwords that are important to them on other systems. So we though SSH enablement was the cleaner safer way to tty. Happy to take feedback and in principle OK to have a local password.
