My decision to used EB was mainly based on information in the following presentation https://archive.fosdem.org/2018/schedule/event/installing_software_for_scientists/attachments/slides/2437/export/events/attachments/installing_software_for_scientists/slides/2437/20180204_installing_software_for_scientists.pdf which is admittedly by Kenneth Hoste, who is one of the main people behind EasyBuild. However, I haven't regretted it and Kenneth and the others on the EB mailing list always respond quickly and helpfully. Getting a system like EB up and running involves a certain investment and, as I assume this is true for the other frameworks, probably not many people have delved that deeply into more than one. However, personally, I am very happy with EasyBuild. Cheers, Loris -- Dr. Loris Bennett (Mr.) ZEDAT, Freie Universität Berlin Email loris.benn...@fu-berlin.de
