If something goes away and doesn't come back, call that "cured"
Cured by a completed remission? Makes no difference. How, who and why
makes no difference, you're done.
If it does come back, call that "treated" or controlled and a work in
progress.
I've seen EIS "cure" Herpes Simplex...so far.
I've heard of several cases where it controlled Genital Herpes to the
point it couldn't be detected, but so far no cure because stopping taking
EIS resulted in eventual relapse.
PS Fatality is the ultimate cure all. [You are done working and nothing
comes back]

One friend with HIV/AIDS went undetectable. "Cured"? I dunno.
I have another friend who started using CS a few months ago...no word
yet. [I see him maybe twice a year these days.]
