Hi Zeb,

Dr Beck was very sure about this if you listen to him on the subject or read
his words.
However I think he may have made a mistake. His observation was that people
seemed to
be poisoned after having "italian" for lunch; and italian has a lot of garlic.
OK . But I think this
poisoning may have been due to MSG in the food. The poisoning seemed to make
people
dangerously over sensitive to electrotreatment.

In the early days when I first came across this (about 12 years ago )I (and
colleagues) tried
'garlic and Beck' often and in various ways but could discern no detrimental
effect on my
body. I tried a few kinds of garlic, the small strong bulbs and the large, not
so pungent bulbs.
I obviously tried eating it cooked al la italien and also tried it eating raw,
roasted and a garlic
soup. Also I tried garlic juice on the skin where the covered electrodes were
connected
ankles and also wrists expecting a skin reaction. This was also discussed in
several interest
groups at the time and i certainly never came to the same practical conclusion.
So I have
never included that statement as a precaution in the operating instructions.
However I greatly
respect Dr Bob Beck and his work and have worried about this. I can now only
conclude that
the effects that he observed were there from the food but that it was probably
not due to
garlic but something else. The logical suspect is MSG.

OK,
Tony Moody

Why does Bob Beck think garlic is poison? This was really a surprise to me.
