A while back, bg over at the MEGK group posted about a fit of irrationality
that he had after gorging on a garlic laden food; happened years ago.
I started watching myself for such, considering that I am well known to be
mercurial. No proof of anything, nothing big and major, but I decided I
didn't care for the after-effects of eating garlic so I have largely
dispensed with it. It's not like I go around being careful not to eat it, I
just don't go around eating it. I do think about it. I can't eat pasta
dishes so that rules a lot out. I eat much less pizza these days, but I
still want it once in a while and I don't worry about garlic then. I have
watched out for too much tomato intake possibly causing arthritis
(nightshade) and since tomato sauce and garlic are so often found together,
that has removed a lot of garlic from my diet.
I still think it's tasty, but not enough to tempt me much anymore. I now
regard it as something I would use if I need to, but with reason.
I used to make four thieves vinegar, full of garlic, and drink it every day
to stay well and it worked, but gosh what a drag that got to be, and I've
found much better ways to stay well since then.
