  Depending on what you do with the electrodes and
electrolytes, voltage
and current, you can put silver in or take stuff out right
through the skin.
..but what stuff is coming out?  I don't see how it can be
very
selective.  Mebbe it doesn't need to be if you put the
"right" stuff back in.
  You don't need an electrode array.  Just put a rubber matt
in a stainless
steel pot full of salt water and stand on it.
  Control the current flow by how salty the water is or use
a
potentiometer...or both. [If your toes start to wiggle, turn
it down]
