Teri,

I know you aren't referring to my Bichon however I've always suspected that the rabies vaccination he received some months before he became ill was the causative factor for his hemolytic anemia. I suppose I'll never know but one thing I do know... he'll never get another rabies vaccination. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Teri Johnston" <[email protected]>

Yes dogs do have blood typing as humans do. But that said in an emergency you can give blood to a dog without typing just once. But if you do it twice you dog may die from a condition called DIC.

Had your dog received any vaccinations prior to becoming ill?
