If you put a piece of silver into a capful of hydrogen peroxide and leave it there, it will at first start to bubble off oxygen. After several days, the silver will begin to oxidize. Silver and peroxide catalyze each other in cycles..
Take heed that "Off" Isn't entirely 'off' where semiconductors are concrned. I've brought the leakage down to about 30 microvolts at an unmeasurable current but there's still 'some'. Adding electricity to a peroxide and CS mix does some strange things...like, makes shiny metallic particles out of whatever is in there. The CS should be just fine to use.
