Sometimes those envrionmental differences are difficult to find. It took
me weeks to find the moldy dish soap, because of mental block.
Meanwhile, I went over everything else, cleaned sinks and drains, went
over my CS process ad nauseum, etc, but all the time my brain/eyes/nose
just couldn't accept where the moldy rotten smell was coming
from----moldy dish liquid was just "invisible" to my preconceptions. It
is very difficult to see past our programming, and mine said "dish
liquid doesn't get moldy" even though I had actually seen prior evidence
that it does, I attributed that to other factors.

and the other (discovered much later) is that I was using dish soap
liquid that was contaminated with black mold.
